yes!

Happy Saturday, friends!  I'm just popping in to share the engagement card I made for my brother and his fiance.  They got engaged a few weeks ago and we went out for a celebratory dinner a couple of weekends ago.  This card uses stickers and paper from Cosmo Cricket's wedding line (I can't remember the name right now) and some gray cardstock.  I like that the colors aren't too girly.  :)  Here's a picture of the happy couple from last Christmas:

Congratulations, Matt and Catherine!  :)

Use It! #15

Hi everyone! One of my best friends just got engaged, so I thought I'd send her a little congrats card :) I've been SO tight on free time this week w/ craft night, a retirement dinner and graduation, so this is not my best card, but I hope she and her fiance like it. I based it off this week's Use It! challenge, hosted by Roseanne:

1/Use patterned paper scraps you've had
for more than 1 year!
check! The red polka dot paper is K&Co.
2/Use chipboard
check! Polar Bear Express- I used the negative image.

3/Use paint
check! I don't often use paint, but I used some pink paint by Making Memories.
4/Use a rub-on
This was hard for me because I already had two sentiments, so I settled on an American Crafts doodle, but it didn't work out too well on the painted surface. It made everything a bit shiny, so I'll know not to do that again! :)

I also used some ribbon by target, and an epoxy tag and a clip (it says "love" but it didn't photograph well) by Making Memories.

I hope to have a bit of "me time" this weekend, so I can send off my July 4th cards. I also bought some adorable buckets for my co-workers that I'm going to fill w/ chocolate covered pretzels. :D

Thanks for stopping by!

engagement card

Hi friends :) This is a card I made for my cousin who recently got engaged. She's not a girlie-girl, so I wanted to use a fun/fresh color combo! The patterned paper is K&Co, the aqua and black papers I found in my scrap stash, and I ran the aqua through my Cuttlebug. The white flowers, brad, and epoxy tag are all Making Memories and the ribbons are American Crafts. The inside sentiment is a Fiskars sentiment over a Hero Arts heart (sorry the color is off, it's more lime green in person). Thanks for checking in, hope you like this one!
