Piggie Dreams

Hi everyone!  Heidi at 2 Cute Ink is releasing this super sweet image called Piggie Dreams today!  I colored the image with my Copics and used some fabric-y purple gingham paper behind it to mimic the blanket theme.  I used a scrap of yellow cardstock and created my own scalloped circle embellishment with a Stampin' Up! image.  Be sure to check out the DT creations on the DT blog for more inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by today!

2 Cute Easter Bunny

Hi everyone!  We're starting up again with the 2 Cute Ink challenges!  To celebrate, Heidi's giving away this adorable bunny, so head on over to the 2 Cute Ink Design Team blog for full details!  The challenge is to make an Easter/Spring themed card.  My card uses an old DCWV card (with the pattern already on it!), a vellum sentiment from Joann's, and my trusty Copic markers.

Make sure you head over to the DT blog to see the other designers' cards, too!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi friends!  Just wanted to share the cards I made for SPD this year.  I used lots of scraps, most from DCWV, and some embellishments from my stash.  The last couple of pictures are the gifts I gave my co-workers:  some festive mints and gold coin chocolates.  Hope you have a great day filled with many blessings!

Vintage Thank Yous

Hi there!  I hope you're having a nice weekend.  :)  I just wanted to pop in and share some cards I made a while back that I never got around to posting.  I remember that these cards were made for my aunt and uncle, but I can't remember what for.  Apparently I decided to go with a vintage theme, which is not my typical style.  I think these cards are soft and pretty, though!  :)

For the top card, I used patterned paper by K&Co and some old pages from a book.  I think the flowers came to me in a swap already layered, and I thought the cream color would look nice on a shabby card.  The stamp is Melissa Frances, stamped in chocolate ink.

The second card uses more (brown) paper by K&Co, and the blue paper was from Me & My Big Ideas. The argyle scrap is DCWV, and I think I cut the kraft cardstock out with my Nestabilities when they were new to me, that's how old this card is!  :)  The sentiment is Hero Arts and the brads are from Michaels- perfect for a masculine vintage card.

I have this thing about not deleting cards off my camera until they're safely posted on blogger.  Irrational as that may be, I can now clear these off my camera card!  :)

Hope you have a great Sunday, thanks for stopping by!

Baby cards

Hi friends!  Sorry I've been spotty with my posting.. for a while I wasn't feeling too crafty, and now I've been focusing on filling up my Etsy shop, so I've been pretty busy with that.  I wanted to share some more baby cards, made in the last couple of weeks.  I can't believe I'm old enough that my friends are starting to have babies... it seemed like it was always cousins or my older brothers' friends having babies, and now it's my peers.. kind of scary to think that I'm in that demographic now!  :)

The first card started off with some jellishments from Doodlebug and a coordinating piece of patterned paper.  I matted the stripes with kraft cardstock and stuck the jellishments on some white cardstock.  For added interest, I used a Fiskars border punch on one edge.  To finish off the card, I tied some blue satin ribbon in a simple knot.

The second card was inspired by the patterned paper from Target's dollar spot.  The paper was almost a scene unto itself, so I embellished lightly, with some purple twill ribbon, a couple of buttons (also from Target) and the chipboard sentiment by Colorbok that I've had FOREVER.  :)  I put a stroller brad through the hole in the chipboard- I think it would have looked weird if I had left the hole there.  I matted the whole piece on some sage-y green cardstock and called it quits.

I think I'm done with baby cards for a little while now!  Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy my creations!

yes!

Happy Saturday, friends!  I'm just popping in to share the engagement card I made for my brother and his fiance.  They got engaged a few weeks ago and we went out for a celebratory dinner a couple of weekends ago.  This card uses stickers and paper from Cosmo Cricket's wedding line (I can't remember the name right now) and some gray cardstock.  I like that the colors aren't too girly.  :)  Here's a picture of the happy couple from last Christmas:

Congratulations, Matt and Catherine!  :)
