feeling lucky

Hi, friends!  I'm here to share my first St. Patrick's Day card of 2012!  :)  I started off by using this month's SFYTT:

The green polka dot and plaid patterned papers are both DCWV, but the orange one I hand stamped.  I used a Glitz houndstooth stamp, some orange ink, and a scrap of peach cardstock to make my own patterned paper.  I added three glittery foam shamrock stickers from Darice.  The circular element is another stamped creation.  I die-cut a circle from white cardstock, then stamped the Stampendous image on top with dark green ink.  The white was a little too stark, so I swirled on some lime green chalk ink and it went SO much better with the rest of the card.  The chipboard sentiment is from Hobby Lobby; I embellished it with a green gem.

I know this card doesn't look that complicated, but I put a lot of work into the background pieces because I don't have a ton of SPD supplies.  I'm pleased with the result.. I really ought to stamp more!  :)  I hope you like my card, thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby

Hi everyone!  Here's a baby card I made for my friend last week using those adorable mama and baby elephants by Paper Smooches.  I paper pieced mama and added pink polka dots to baby.  The patterned papers are by atd and the die-cuts were all done with my Nestabilities.  I added some ribbon and gingham buttons to tie the card together.  The sketch is from The Sweet Stop:

I hope you like my card, thanks for stopping by!

1st birthday

Hi friends!  It's been a minute since I've posted.. no real reason except I haven't had the urge!  :)  Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made for a family friend, whose daughter turned one last week.  I used stamps by Crafty Secrets and lots of fun patterned papers by DCWV.  The gingham brad was in my stash, but I think I found it at Target's dollar spot.  The image was colored with my Copics and the sentiment is a rub-on from Joann's.  I hand-cut the banners out of patterned paper and I think it looks really cute!  I hope you think so, too, thanks for stopping by!

PS-  I know I'm late, but I really have to get the rest of my Valentine's Day cards posted.  Ack!  :)

You're My Honey!

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a nice weekend!  I ate way too much food last night, but I'm happy that the Giants won!  I didn't win the football pool, but I enjoyed the anticipation each quarter of finding out who won the pot!  Anyway, onto my TCP card, which is based on this sketch:

I used some papers by K&Co, my Shapeabilities banner dies, and some twine by MME.  I colored PJ with Copics and popped the honey pot on foam tape.  The heart punches are by Martha Stewart.  This card is pretty darned cute, if I do say so myself!  :)  I hope you enjoy it, thanks for stopping by!

Seacret Admirer

Hi everyone!  Today's my day to post over at 2 Cute Ink, make sure you check out my post for more details!  I'm showing a side view of the card below so you can tell that the brads are silver, not black!  :)

Have a great Sunday, friends!  Go Giants!  :D

Let's Party

Okay, so I'm on a Paper Smooches kick now.  Who isn't really?!  :)  I made this simple card for a bestie whose birthday is tomorrow.  I used lots of Lime Twist papers by MME and a sketch I drew out one day while I was listening to a presentation at work (she might have been a boring speaker!  LOL).  I colored the dog with my Copics and added a bling-y pom pom to his hat.  I like how this card turned out.. this is also my effort to start using some of the papers I hoard because I like them too much!  :D  Thanks for stopping by, friends!
