Rainbow's end

Hi friends!  Just popping in to share a preview of my St. Patrick's Day cards (I'll be sharing the rest tomorrow)!  These two are just about identical, except for the cardstocks matting the sentiment.  :)  I'm not sure who manufactured the sentiment stamp because I got it in a toss, but the rainbow brads are Recollections and the patterned papers are DCWV.  The glittery green cards are also DCWV- they've been hanging out in my stash, and you'll see tomorrow that I really wanted to use them up!  :)  I added a bit of gold twine as my finishing touch.  I've been enjoying the twine look lately- I wish I had some that looked like baker's twine though.  The next time The Twinery has a sale, I'm going to have to take the plunge!  Anyway, hope you enjoy these two cards.  Check back tomorrow for the rest of my SPD cards!  Thanks for stopping by!

TCP Tuesday Retro!

Hi again!  I'm back to share with you my TCP Tuesday card (I'm getting it in just in time!).  This week the challenge was to use any previous TCP challenge, so I chose #94, this sketch:

I hadn't inked up my bunny friend yet, so out he came to make this silly birthday card.  I used a scraps of dusty pink and yellow cardstock and yummy patterned papers by DCWV (The Celebration Stack).  I stamped the sentiment on the yellow strip and added some bling-y brads.  I actually made this card before I went to work this morning... I woke up 2 hours early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I made good use of my time!  :)

Woodware Challenge #18: Springtime!

Happy Monday, friends!  I'm so excited to share this card with you today, as it's the first sign of spring (for me, anyway!)!!  The challenge this week is to make a spring themed card, and while I do love winter, I am more than ready to embrace warmer weather and extra daylight hours! :)


For this card, I used Ted in the Garden and Garden Greetings, two sets which go perfectly together:

I used lots of Making Memories' Garden Party patterned paper scraps and some kraft cardstock.  Of course my Nestabilities and Copics came out for this card too, and for the final touch, I added some Making Memories clips.  I've had them for a while now but haven't figured out how to use them.  I think they look perfect in that empty space.  :)

Simple thank you

Hi friends!  Just a quick post today.  My uncle (an accountant) does my family's taxes every year, so my mom asked me to make this thank you card for him.  I tried to keep the card simple and masculine, so I used this deep turquoise (I guess it didn't photograph as turquoise, this looks blue to me!) card base I had in my stash.  I embossed some cream cardstock and added a scrap of K&Co patterned paper behind the sentiment embellishment.  I matted cream cardstock with a similar toned scrap of deep turquoise cardstock and stamped the Fiskars sentiment with brown chalk ink.  It was a pretty quick card to assemble.  I like how simple it was, but I think the touches like the embossing and die-cut shapes make the card feel thoughtful.  I hope you enjoy it, thanks for stopping by!

I scream, you scream!

Happy Monday, friends!  It's time for another Woodware USA challenge and this week we are featuring sentiments!  But first, I want to share some exciting news!  Woodware has teamed up with www.stampingscrapping.com and our stamps are now being sold there for 20% off!  They also have their own line of stamps, which include Nestabilities-coordinated images!  You may be seeing some cards made with their stamps on my blog pretty soon... so stay tuned!  ;)  They have tons of other stuff, so make sure you check out their site!!  


Now on to the challenge.  :)  I used my Ice Cream Parfait set and stamped the heck out of this card! :)  For the background, I stamped the cherry pattern on the edges of some kraft cardstock and colored them in with my copics.  I die-cut some white cardstock with my Nestabilities and stamped the sentiment several times with pink chalk ink.  To make the sentiment stand out, I stamped it again with red.  My ice cream was jazzed up with a cherry and a pair of straws (makes me want a float right now!), and colored with my copics.  I popped it up on foam tape, though it's hard to tell in the picture.  To finish off the card, I added some lime green gems from my stash.

TCP Tuesday 148

Hi friends!  Here's my card for The Cat's Pajamas challenge this week to make a St. Patrick's Day card.  I've made 10 or so for SPD already, but this is the first one I'm sharing.  I used some yellow cardstock and patterned papers by DCWV.  PJ and his accessories (yes, he has a mustache!  hehe) are from A Beary Good Year.  I colored him with my copics and added a little Doodlebug glitter to his shamrock.  The yellow cardstock behind the image was distressed with a Glitz polka dot stamp.  To finish off the card, I added some orange gems from my stash.  I hope this card brings you makes you smile- his mustache still cracks me up!  Thanks for stopping by!

Old supplies.. new baby cards

Hi there!  Just a quick post to show you some baby cards I made last weekend.  I went through my stash and pulled out some older supplies.  Hopefully these cards don't look "old", but I really want to get rid of the supplies I don't love anymore.  :)  Hope you're having a good week so far..
